Take a look at this sign we recently made for Cute Booty Lounge, a new retail store in Canoga Park, California. We flat-cut the logo from 3/8″ acrylic, and custom painted most of it. We started with black acrylic, kept “LOUNGE” black, and painted the rest of the letters and the heart. Acrylic is very durable so it’s a great choice for exterior signs. Acrylic does come in some basic colors, but if you need a specific color we can just paint it. With so many colors to choose from, the options are endless. We normally use acrylic for most signs unless the customer wants a metallic look. In this case, we use aluminum. We can give aluminum many different finishes, and aluminum can also be anodized different colors.
The reason we made a flat-cut dimensional letter sign is because the sign didn’t need to be internally illuminated, but they still wanted it to be dimensional. Having solid letters has a much different look from painting a sign onto the wall, which many people do to save on cost.
