We have worked with Forest Lawn Memorial Parks & Mortuaries for many jobs so we were more than happy to work with them again when they asked us to create a room ID sign for their board room. They wanted this interior sign made in memorial of Lynn P. Reitnouer, a philanthropist who was also Chairman of the Forest Lawn Memorial-Park Association Board for 30 years. This acrylic sign is not a typical room ID sign, it is a little over 2 1/2′ wide and sits above the doorway. Most room ID signs in offices are smaller and are placed to the side of the doorway.

We make interior signs that are completely customizable so we can assist you with including the signage into the overall interior design of the decor. A combination of silver metal and acrylic is ideal if you are looking for a professional image. We started with a piece of frosted white acrylic for the backer. The dimensional letters are cut from brushed aluminum that we attached to the front of the backer. We drilled holes in all four corners and installed the sign with brushed silver standoffs to match the aluminum dimensional letters. The standoffs are 1″ so the dimensional letter signs floats off of the wall slightly.

For a lot of indoor signs with panels that we create, we do not mount them flush to the wall. We usually use standoffs to give them a professional look. The shadow created also gives the sign more dimension which is visually pleasing.

As you can see from the photo, the sign is almost as wide as the door and looks very grand. Lynn P. Reitnouer was very respected and they wanted a sign that would show that. Forest Lawn Memorial Parks & Mortuaries was very happy with the sign and we are excited to work with them again in the future.

A few months prior to creating this indoor wall sign we helped Forest Lawn Memorial Parks & Mortuaries update their exterior signage by replacing eight of their existing post and panel signs along with two “No Public Parking” signs. The post and panel signs were positioned around the parking lot area to assist customers with finding where to go, where to park, and where the entrance was. Check out the blog here.
