For every Hustler Hollywood store, we work with we are asked to create a set of digital prints and one illuminated wall sign. For the illuminated wall sign at the Hollywood location, we made a 58″ x 154.5″ illuminated box sign. This one, in particular, is a front-lit channel letterbox.There are a lot of options for front-lit channel letter boxes which can also be called box cabinets. They allow for an installation of a lighting source that makes the sign stand out after dark and the front of the sign is large enough to not only display a large image, but we can also print your company name, logo, and other information onto the vinyl. Since the information can be digitally printed or put on by vinyl, you can make the sign look exactly like your logo which enhances brand awareness.
This channel letter box has 5″ aluminum returns that are painted black on the outside to match the retainers and a high-reflective white on the inside to help illuminate the LEDs. The returns are attached to an aluminum backer which is where we also attach the white LEDs. 1″ black retainers are attached to the front of the returns to attach the face of the sign and the face is made of Tuf Glas. The face is easily removed in case repairs or replacements are needed for the LEDs.
The image is digitally printed onto translucent vinyl, laminated with clear glossy laminate and attached to the Tuf Glas. Our large format printer allows us to print the large image onto one large piece of vinyl so there are no seams. Large format printers are also great for any outdoor signage because they use UV ink to help reduce fading caused by sun damage. They’re also great for making indoor wall displays like this sign due to the options of colors and the ease of framing.
This particular photo is an image that we have used before for another Hustler Hollywood location. Repetition of images, logos, or taglines is great for brand recognition. People respond positively to things they recognize.
