Building signs are a great way to make sure your business gains recognition from far away, but to consumers that are closer to the doorway, a large sign above their heads can easily go unnoticed. If you are in a plaza with other businesses, exterior window graphics are a great choice to attract foot traffic and repeat your company name and logo. Repetition is key for creating brand recognition to gain trust from customers.
The Design Process
Panacea Pharmacy in Chatsworth, California wanted to use their glass front door and windows to display colorful window graphics. When we start designing a window graphic, the first thing we need to know is how big the windows are and what needs to be on it. This way our designer can decide what will look best with the space we have to work with. If you’re not completely satisfied with the first proof, we will work with you to figure out what changes we should make.
The initial proof for this window graphic included a lighter background with more neutral font colors. After a few more proofs we decided to go with a bright background and font to catch the eye of consumers. We create graphics that are custom made for your business so you can request any color, design, image, or pattern you desire.
The information you decide to display is very important when it comes to advertising. Making sure that the nature of your business is clear is crucial for attracting new customers. Since the word “PHARMACY” is clear and easy to read, someone driving through the plaza parking lot can easily understand what that business is and what they offer. If you have a something that makes your business special in your field, make sure to include that. In this case, in the large yellow font, we displayed that they accept all major insurances along with their phone number in case a customer has any questions. If there are a lot of other businesses in your field of work, you want to make sure that you stand out.
Full window graphics are made by digitally printing onto perforated vinyl so you will not lose any natural light by deciding to advertise on your front windows and doors. Although the image looks solid from the outside, from the inside you can still see through the window clearly.
