Woodland Hills United Methodist Church had three monument signs for their three different entrances. They were looking into updating a couple of them and found us online while looking for a local sign company. We performed an LED retrofit for their existing monument sign on the south entrance, and they wanted a completely new sign for the west entrance that faces Shoup Ave. They wanted to give their existing readerboard sign a modern update and asked for something with an LED readerboard. Many signs are switching to LED, not only in regards to internal illumination, but with LED displays also.
Programmable displays make it much easier to customize and change what you want your sign to say. With a traditional readerboard, you would need to open up the case and manually change out the letters every time some information changed. Woodland Hills United Methodist Church hold many different events so it is important to them to be able to announce the details in an efficient manner.
The top and bottom parts of the sign are double-sided cabinet signs that light up at nighttime. This assures that along with the information on the LED readerboard, the name of the church can also be seen at nighttime. The original design had the sign elevated by 2′, but when we went to apply for a sign permit, the city had us add a skirt around the bottom. To support the weight of the sign, we also added additional footing after the old sign was removed and before the new sign was installed.
The new sign is a great modern update for the church and is sure to attract many new patrons. Are you looking for a new monument sign for your business? Our monument signs are custom made specifically for your needs and for your business.
