Loyola Marymount University is a top-ranked Catholic university that was founded in 1911. LMU is the parent college to several colleges and schools, one of which is the School of Film and Television in the neighborhood of Westchester in Los Angeles, California. The new school is only a couple miles away from the main campus, but it is in a separate building so they needed brand new signs for both the interior and the exterior. One of the most important signs to identify a building is a building wall sign. As you can see from the photos, this is a reverse-lit channel letter sign. At the time of installation, the LEDs were set to purple, but the LEDs we used are actually color-changing RGB LEDs so LMU can change the colors whenever they want.
Due to the placement of the building and how well it can be seen from the street, they wanted two signs to go on different sides of the building facing two different streets. The signs were installed at the top of a 4-story building so they can be seen very well from far away, especially with the illumination.
This is not the first time that we’ve made an illuminated exterior sign for a school. Especially if you are a well-known school or if you are trying to advertise to new students, outdoor signs can be very important. This new Loyola Marymount University school will definitely become a landmark in the neighborhood thanks to their new signage.
