Working with a custom sign company for your interior business signs is important for many reasons. Your signs can be designed to match your branding which helps create brand awareness and trust in your company. We also work as consultants to help you determine the size, positioning, and materials that will be used for the sign to make sure it suits the rest of your interior.
Custom Signs for Your Business Needs
There are many different options for wall signs that range from style, size, and material. Since each sign is custom made, we make sure that each one is unique and fitting for the business. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is a component of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. They came to us for a wall sign for their Los Angeles office. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security already has an established and a well-known logo so they wanted to display it prominently along with “U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services”.
Acrylic Dimensional Lettering
The main substrate we used for this sign was acrylic. Acrylic comes in many colors and it is very easy to route out different letters and shapes using our CNC router so it was the number one choice to get the job done. “U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services” was routed from blue acrylic. To create a dramatic drop shadow effect, each letter was stud mounted individually with 1/2″ spacers to create the effect that the letters were floating off of the wall.
For the logo we started with a white acrylic backer that was just as tall as the text would be once installed. USCIS wanted a border around the logo so we used a thin brushed aluminum laminate to give the logo a polished look without overpowering the text. For the text on the logo, we also used blue acrylic and red acrylic was used to create the red bars. Instead of making the whole logo dimensional, we digitally printed the center graphic and laminated it so it would match the glossy finish of the acrylic.
Different Mounting Options
Another great thing about custom signs is that you can pick and choose the dimensional parts of your sign, and even the thickness and mounting style of each component. All of the pieces of the logo were flush mounted onto the backer and the backer itself was stud mounted with 3/8″ spacers so it wasn’t installed directly onto the wall but it didn’t protrude as much as the dimensional letters.
